Vending Solutions Postgraduate Travel Bursaries
Vending Solutions has been servicing the convenience catering needs of the QUT community for nearly a decade. This long association has evolved so that Vending Solutions is now a valued member of the QUT “family” and, as such, is committed to going beyond its responsibility as a service offering quality convenience food and beverage products. Investing in an innovative partnership with high-appeal benefits, the company is positioning these initiatives as part of its enduring promise to QUT, involving students in real-world projects, while helping their business.
Now into its third year, Vending Solutions travel bursaries are offered to postgraduate students in Business and Health, where synergies exist with its business operations and can provide career-enhancing opportunities for these QUT students. Postgraduate students with an interest in vending are offered the chance to travel to the US to attend a National Automatic Merchandising Association (NAMA) vending expo as well as a site-visit to a vending machine manufacturer or vending machine operator in the US. The recipient will attend various sessions within the Expo, based on their own interest areas as a means of gaining a greater understanding of the broader vending industry and to advance their studies and their careers.
The Vending Solutions bursaries are open to coursework and masters Business and Health students in any major (including part-time students).
The bursary is valued up to a maximum of $5,000 and will cover airfares, accommodation and conference registration fees (arranged by Vending Solutions). In addition, the student will be paid a per diem of $210 for each accommodated night to cover meals, airport transfers and other associated travel costs. Students are welcome to undertake additional activities and/or extend their time of stay in the United States; however, this will be at the expense of the student.
Applications for the 2007 travel bursary have closed. For further information on these bursaries, visit QUT Scholarships.
