Indonesian language Selamat datang!

Welcome to the Indonesian language program at QUT.

Indonesian, or Bahasa Indonesia, is the national language of the Republic of Indonesia. Some 12,000 expatriate Australians currently live in Indonesia, and many more visit popular Indonesian tourist destinations each year.

Besides business and tourism, Indonesia and Australia also have mutual interests in education, health management, agriculture, mining, regional security and the environment. Foreigners working in Indonesia are now required to have proficiency in the language.

By studying Indonesian you will develop a high level of linguistic skills and cross-cultural competence, and acquire the knowledge and skills needed to work in this international environment.
