Entry levels
Because many students do not get the opportunity to study languages at high school, QUT offers alternative entry levels:
- French 1 is for students with little or no previous experience with the language
- French 3 is the entry point for students who have studied French to Year 12 or what is assessed by staff as the equivalent
- French 5 may be the entry point for students who have reached an advanced level of oral proficiency, following a school immersion program or time in-country.
