Why business at QUT?

Studying business at QUT is very much about the real world industry experience. Our graduates are job  ready from day one and what that means is that they are resilient, they’re critical thinkers, they’re problem solvers and they’re really passionate about what they do.

There are a huge range of options to have a really flexible approach to a degree here at QUT. You can go through the Deans Honours, you can do an accelerated degree you can go through scholarships or incorporated internships, there’s a lot of options at QUT.

There’s a lot of support here at QUT. The lecturers here are great. They’re always ready to help. Not only do the lecturers have industry experience but as well as academic experience the lecturer is always willing to go above and beyond.

We really do have good idea of  what it means to do the academic side of things and what  it means to actually apply this and the barriers you face in the real world with real politics and real business decisions that are being made.

The QUT courses are practical, they’re flexible and  there are plenty of QUT alumni walking around out there in the industry and plenty of connections to be made once you get out there in the real world.

When I got out into the workforce I wasn’t scared at all or worried. A lot of graduates are. To know what I’m doing yeah, straight away I could apply what I’ve learned.

There’s a significant global focus here at QUT. There are several international students here that I have been interacting with in my tutorials as well as the opportunity to study overseas and get experience you know from Europe and go to the US the world is my oyster so I really value that.

I find QUT very supportive, welcoming and open to international students. At the moment QUT has 5000 international students from 85 countries which make it like a global university.

We’ve got  excellent industry partnerships and a lot of our graduates are working in fabulous organisations around the world and we can sometimes bring people in to the classroom environments and just share some of the  knowledge they have and the passion  they have for the  professions.

It’s particularly easy going to uni at QUT here at Gardens Point. Really centrally located right in the middle of the city and probably the best for me is that it’s easy for me to go to work here in the city or afterwards with mates for a bite to eat up in Queen Street or shopping or anything like that it’s really a cool place to be.

The campus of QUT is awesome.  You are amazed after seeing this Botanical Gardens. You are amazed after seeing this greenery. You are amazed after seeing its facilities which it provides to its students. You will be finding people you know, walking here and there and running in the morning, running in the night, having wonderful parties having wonder functions. And you know a very good relationship among various students coming from different cultures. So this makes university our university, the best university and I really like it, I really like it.

QUT is really focused on helping you to achieve your goals and helping you get where you want to be.

I absolutely love where I am right now. I couldn’t think of a better place I would rather be. I get to work with my best friend.  I get to travel the world. I make beautiful clothing. I go to great events and so life is really good and I really think that the business degree I did at QUT helped me get to where I am today.
