PDL Short (20 working days or less)
PDL Short programs are approved by Heads of Schools, with the Executive Dean determining the final approval on international travel.
PDL Long (greater than 20 working days)
PDL Long is currently in the process of being devolved to schools and from 2007 will no longer be managed at the Faculty level. Guidelines and application process details are currently being finalised by the Heads of School. Staff considering applying for PDL Long are encouraged to discuss the details of the proposed program with their Head of School prior to submitting their application.

* For applications for periods of leave greater than two months, applicants are recommended to apply approximately six months in advance.
