Welcome
FiT4Business is a Faculty-funded program which aims to address wellness holistically, including physical, mental and social aspects.
The FiT4Business representatives are exploring the provision of a range of activities, which will address all these areas of wellness, but will also ‘piggy-back’ with activities currently provided by the University Wellness Program, for example meditation sessions.
The Fit4Business is a faculty-wide program which will incorporate activities organised through the University's Wellness Program (QUT | Wellness Matters ) and those organised by the Fit4Business representatives. If you have any suggestions for activities, please contact the representative for your area - or why not join the group. For more information, contact Danielle Clarke.
2009 Activities
Bridge to Brisbane - Sunday, 30 August 2009
On August 30 members of Fit4Business joined over 41,000 entrants in the annual Bridge to Brisbane run.
A team of 18 Faculty of Business staff took part in either the 5km or 10km event, starting from Portside at Hamilton and Lytton Road at Murarrie respectively.
Congratulations to all staff who participated – your efforts helped strengthen the Faculty‟s commitment to wellness, as well as contributing towards national charity, The Heart Foundation.
Faculty Cup
The Faculty Cup will encompass a range of activities in which participants will gain points for their team - the more people join in, the more points are scored - and the more fun is enjoyed by all! For all events, points will be awarded for participation, with additional points awarded for winners of competitive events. For more information on the Faculty Cup see Faculty Cup.
Events will be announced throughout the year - those contributing to the Faculty Cup will be identified as such - so get as many as your workmates together as you can and participate to gain points for your team.

Faculty Cup Golf Day
On Friday 15 May19 staff members participated in the Faculty Cup Golf Day. It was a glorious day to be out in the fresh air, and an enjoyable time was had by all. Thanks to Andrew Paltridge and Bill Proud for organising the event.
Walk for Heart and be FiT4Business
After being postponed at the end of last year due to inclement weather, this event was successfully held on Tuesday 7 April. Over 20 people participated, with some of us getting carried away (or unable to judge distances accurately - or read a map!) and walked closer to 7km. This was the first Faculty Cup event, with participation points awarded.
